Death of Mr. Rippard
Mr. Wm. N RIPPARD, a young man well known in this county, died at the
residence of his mother-in-law, Mrs. KOONTZ Sunday night. Mr. RIPPARD was of a
well known and highly respected family of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and
married Miss Bertie KOONTZ, a well known young lady of Midland, about one year
ago.
Services were held at the house this morning, after which the remains
were put upon the Cumberland and Pennsylvania train, arriving in the city at
1:30 pm. The following were the pallbearers: J. J. BELL, D. A. RYAN, Jno.
BYRNE, Michael GOUGH, Phillip MCMAHON, Thomas CATOU, Patrick
SHAFFER and Wm. PHILLIPS. In this city the corpse was placed upon
the 2:50 pm Baltimore and Ohio train and taken to Laurel where the interment
will take place tomorrow. The remains were accompanied by his widow.
