ANASTASIA V YOUNGBLOOD

 

MIDLAND -- Anastasia Veronica (McGann) Youngblood, 78, of 14807 Railroad Street, SW, Midland, died Memorial Day, May 28, 2001, at her residence.

 

Born on Aug. 9, 1922, in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late Richard A. McGann and Elizabeth Jane (Nolan) McGann. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Harry L. Youngblood in November 1976; one sister, Elizabeth Fair; and three brothers, Jim McGann, Patrick McGann and Daniel McGann.

 

She was a graduate of Central High School.

 

Mrs. Youngblood is survived by her children, Maryetta Fradiska and husband John, Frederick, James Youngblood and wife Beth, Baltimore, Paul Youngblood and wife Patty, Woodstock, Va., Charletta Yaider and husband John, Ridgeley, W.Va., Dennis Youngblood and wife Sandy, Frostburg, Elizabeth Llewellyn and husband Dennis, Hagerstown, Harry Youngblood and wife Karen, Frostburg, Joyce Raynor and husband Bump, Midland, Margaret "Peggy" Youngblood, Frostburg, Kevin Youngblood and wife Melinda, Westernport, Anastasia Bosley and husband Alfred, Bowling Green, and Patrick Youngblood and wife Sherri, Texas; 37 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mary Martin and husband Paul, Cumberland; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Joy Broadwater, Midland.

 

Mrs. Youngblood was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland, the Holy Name Society, the Sodality of the Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Midland Fire Company.

 

The family will receive friends at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., 8 East Main St., Lonaconing, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A joint Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home by the Ladies Auxiliary of Midland Volunteer Fire Company and the Fireman.

 

A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with Sister Joan Maenner OSF Pastorial Life Director of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland.

 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland, with Father Paul Byrnes as celebrant.

 

Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Midland.

 

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be remaining grandsons and Tom Dunn, Bill Hunt, Don Parker, Charlie Winters and Tom McMannis.
