LAVALE - Edward John Jackson, died at his residence in LaVale onSaturday, Feb. 14, 1998, following a two-year illness.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302National Highway, LaVale, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.A Christian Wake service will be conducted by the Rev. Father WilliamMoody and attended by Knights of Columbus, Frostburg Council 1442, onTuesday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at 11 a.m.in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. FatherWilliam Moody as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery,Frostburg. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by theAmerican Legion Post 24, Frostburg.
Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Mathew Byrnes, Mark Jackson, LouieValenzano, J. Robert Farrell and James Robeson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph "Peach" Blake, Robert Kenney, JosephStruntz and Thomas Struntz.
