FRANK ROBERTSON

HEREFORD, Ariz. - Frank "Rob" Robertson, 58, a 15-year resident of Hereford, Arizona, died at his home on Nov. 17, 2000.

Rob was born in Midland, Maryland, on Jan. 25, 1942. He was the son of Frank E. and Mary Kathleen Robertson. He was a graduate of Beall High School, attended Frostburg State University and the University of Southern Mississippi. Rob married the former Jean Bergan of Lake Preston, South Dakota.

Rob enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962 and rose to the rank of Captain. Completing Airborne and Special Forces combat medical training, he served two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Army Commendation with Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Combat Medical Badge, and numerous other awards for service.

Following his retirement in 1985, Rob worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Hereford and retired in September.

Rob is survived by his wife Jean and his son Spencer of Hereford, Arizona, his daughter Kira Johns of Charlotte, North Carolina, his son Aaron of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, his stepdaughter Keri Siver of Tucson, Arizona, his stepson Kyle Siver of Lake Preston, South Dakota and two granddaughters. He also leaves five sisters, Chloe Dhillon, Maggie Hoff and Jean Shillingburg of Annapolis, Kathleen Martin of Florida, and Teri Brown of Cumberland, and his brother Edward G. Robertson of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Jensen's Sierra Vista Mortuary handled the arrangements. Services were held at the Kino Chapel at Fort Huachuca on Monday, Nov. 27. Interment followed in the Post Cemetery at Fort Huachuca.
