3. Joseph Robertson (Joseph ) was born 31 Aug 1798 in Bridgeton Barony Lanark, Scotlnd. He was christened 10 Sep 1798 in Barony Lanark, Scotland. He died 6 Apr 1863.

In a letter, noted under Isabelle Robertson, one of her brotherswrote from the Military, to the family. in 1862. In that letter it spokeof Isabelle taking care of their father, who was old in age. In the 1860Census it shows Isabelle, 16 at the time, living with a James Robertson,who was 64. This is apparently who the other Robertson brother waswriting about.

Upon checking land records for Allegany County Maryland, it showedthat Isabel and George purchased property next to each other. Thisproperty was located off of Main Street in Midland directly behind"Scotty Orr's" Store.

NOTE: Rossannia who was born in 1838 does not show on the census so I amassuming she died before 1841
Elizabeth was married by the time this was taken to a William Gemmell in1839.

Joseph married Rosanna Armstrong 18 May 1817 in Barony, Lanark, Scotland. Rosanna was born 12 Apr 1798 in Ireland. She died 25 Aug 1856.

When looking in the LDS Search you will find William listed under JosephRobinson & Rosanna Armstrong, when doing a parental search.....
We do not know if William married this Elizabeth Murray as the records inCumberland Court House states William Ravenscraft married ElizabethMurray, however since his name could have been spelled Robison we need todo a further check..
He was also Christened by Rev, Wm. Thompson, this name is spelled twodifferent ways in the registers from Scotland..
