A North End man died suddenly on Columbia Street this morning and anautopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death.
Dr. H.V. Deming, deputy county medical examiner said the victim of aprobable heart attack was W. G. Valentine . Apartment 7, 219 ColumbiaStreet
Dr. Deming said Valentine was walking along the street when he suddenlypitched forward hitting the side of his face
The incident was witnessed by City Patrolman Kenneth Morrissy who went tothe man's aid and called an ambulance
Dr. Deming said Valentine was dead on arrival at Sacred Heart Hospital.
According to Aunt Dru he was out taking their son Joey for a walk, Joeywas 2 years old at the time...

My Father was an avid Fiddle Player, He had a band called the Silver CityBoys which they played on the radio in Cumberland, every Saturday, heplayed at Barn Dances, Hall Dances, wherever he could play, he could playseveral other instruments, He and his brother Dee played in the same bandfor several years, he also use to do a show where he could cut acigarette in half with a bull whip I saw him do it he was good at it, Heworked for Firestone Plant #2 for several years in Akron, Ohio and washead pipe fitter for them. He second talent was making things from wood,he made many things for the family and the family reunion which is heldevery year first Saturday in August..He also loved flowers and all theones we had at home he planted and took care of along with a garden..
He was in the navy during WW11, from 1941-1945, he served on the USSIndiana and was a Gunners Third Mate, He was also on the Firestone Leaguefor Bowling the years we lived in Ohio, he had several trophies forBowling High Games and one for bowling a perfect 300 game, we bowledtogether on a league for several years. He could fix, cars, and was avery good mechanic...

FROSTBURG- William Paul (Honk) Robertson St., 65, a native and formerresident of Midland, died Wednesday at the Holy Cross Hospital in SilverSpring.
Mr. Robertson was a veteran of World War 11. He resided in Wheaton andhad been employed as Manager of Warner Plumbing Company there.
He was the son of the late George Robertson and Maud (Harden) Robertson.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lucille (Largent) Robertson; one sonWilliam P. Robertson Jr. New Orleans, La. two daughters: Mrs. SharonChilders and Miss Robin Lynn Robertson, both at home, three sisters, Mrs.Margaretta Dodd, Mrs. Drucilla Valentine and Mrs. Mae Conway, all ofCumberland; six brothers Joseph Robertson, Cumberland, Melvin Robertson,Vale Summit, Raymond Robertson, Gilmore, Elmer Robertson, Midland,Charles Robertson, Hamburg, N.Y, John Robertson, Bowling Green and fivegrandchildren.
